PRESS ABOUT MARY DOWLING
"Mary Dowling owned and ran her own major distillery during the early 1900s, even during Prohibition. First brought onto Waterfill & Frazier by her husband John Dowling, who recognized her talent for business, after his passing she inherited the company and kept it running for many years. When Prohibition hit and the government began knocking on her doors, Mary fought as long as she could until eventually she dismantled her distillery, moved it to Mexico, and continued to run the business until her death in 1930." - The Anderson News - Sept 7th 2023
